Run setup.bat first (Terminal script on Mac), then restart AE. Look under Window > Extensions > IMPPORTERAE. On Mac you might need to enable unsigned extensions. Discord if you're still stuck.

Yes. AE 2020+ on both Windows and macOS. On Mac, run the setup script from Terminal instead of the .bat file. Everything else works the same.

No more than any other footage. They're standard files stored locally. The panel itself runs separately and doesn't affect AE performance.
